Is This Your Business?

Launched on April 26, 1943, this Vessel was decommissioned 37 years later and in 1982 was donated by the US Navy in order to become a floating museum. According to the US Navy, this vessel stands at a length of 899 ft., with accommodations for 378 Officers, 2,952 Enlisted men, plus dead weight of 12,300 tons. Within the Intrepid's Hangar is quite a number of aircrafts available for your viewing, a flight simulator, many educational sections, documentary style movies (with a theater or two) and some truly spectacular computerized consoles from which you'll learn of the US Military's naval, air and ground forces past and present. It's quite an experience to board the Intrepid! There's so much to see that a single day simply isn't enough.
