Boiler Room

This is one of the straightest gay bars in the city. At first glance, it looks like a frat bar on the Upper East Side�except there are no females, or straight guys yelling, throwing up, or falling asleep drunk. Instead, the Boiler Room heats up with �straight-acting� men in baseball caps and A&F T-shirts cruising each other while knocking back Rolling Rocks. But what really rocks about this bar is its lack of pretense. There�s nothing fancy about the bar or the men, most of who are in their 20s and 30s. A pool table, an awesome jukebox, some video games, and friendly bartenders make this an ideal place to grab a drink on weekdays or mingle with a larger crowd on the weekend.
