cruiser updates 05/06/09. Went to this spot a couple of days ago, got views of the old bridge in the park where most people meet, n the trees and field where most people pop off to get down to the fun stuff hehe. At night most people just risk it and do it on the flat tarmac bridge though hehe.this site never floods, despite being by the river - it is about 15 ft above river level.
Crowd: All sorts, mainly young, students, locals.

Who's Coming

All sorts, mainly young, students, locals.

Walk down Oxpens Road and go into field next to ice rink. Walk down field to bottom left corner, you will see and ornamental bridge over river, cross and you are in the park. After you have crossed bridge and are in park, go to your right and follow trail.Left leads out in open areas close to housing and schools, and a neighbourhood watch area best not to go in this direction, right leads to denser wooded areas, and includes lesser used tracks.
Cross street: Oxpens Road

  • Hours:cruiser updates 05/06/09 Best time is after dark - as originally set up - because the site is used by the public all day, and contains a major pedestrian thoroughfare from Oxford city to Abingdon Road which is in frequent use until about midnight. There are many reports each summer to the local police of 'strange men hanging about, behaving oddly in the day time. If guys are discreet, there are never any problems.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:cruiser updates 05/06/09. Once having entered the park over the big bridge, guys should take any path EXCEPT the one directly to the left - that leads to a Neighbourhood Watch Area and a Primary School. That way may led to problems with the police etc. It might be simplest to say that guys should keep away from the Whitehouse Road end of the park, though this will be meaningless to those without a map or satnav -however, it will also tell them an easier route to get to GNP.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:cruiser updates 05/06/09. There are no litter bins on the site - guys need to take their debris away. Children play on this park in the day time.
