We just got back from PS and we stayed at the Santiago for 10 nights - we're 40ish and we were very impressed - great everything - the crowd doesn't think OMG that tank top doesn't work with my sandals - it tended to be more of a 40's - 50's crowd of men that wanted to relax, have breakfast at 8 , misted until 1:30 for lunch - misted until you had to go out for dinner - a little cruisy - but nothing extreme - no fence jumping until dawn - and we we're there for the White Party (by accident") - the rooms we're great, clean and new almost everything - price wise - great value, would highly recommend it -

I stayed January 11 and 12 for $99/night. All rooms are $99 till some date in February 2008. The rooms are very well decorated and furnished. All new tile and fixtures in the bath. Microwave and refrigerator in my junior suite located by the hottub, which is not too hot but just right. Good breakfast. I was away during both lunch hours. Nice clientele. No open sex that I saw, and I was looking. Wifi in the patio. Computer in the lobby. Wire hookups in all rooms. Bring a cord. Good heat in my room.

The Santiago has been (re)opened for several months. They have a post-7/8 rate of $99/night, any room, any night, that extends until Labor Day week-end. My boyfriend and I are going there 8/21-8/28. This will be my 5th visit. I've found the place to be populated by thoroughly nice, friendly goes. It's a no-attitude/no posing type of place. And the room rate includes both breakfast and lunch. I recommend it highly.

Does anybody know when this place is opening back up? Have had some late night fun around the jacuzzi, but it's been closed for renovation.
