Wilson Park

n. Ospika Blvd

Is This Your Business?

This is a very interesting dog walking park. Not a lot of easy exits but many trails and not in the flood plain as some are.

Neighbourhood: Lakewood/Heritage

Go north on Ospika Blvd way down to almost Tabor connector. Turn right and cross tracks, follow road to parking lot and enjoy. Buses travel this road and the train blocks access from time to time. This is not a place to go if in a hurry.
  • Hours:Best time is early afternoon or later in evening. Not too late as neighbourhood watch is active in this area of town.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Best way to hook up is standard approaches, walk around or remain in vehicles but be aware of locals actually there to walk dogs, bike or do seasonal activities
  • Nudity / Policy:One active out door outhouse. Many trails with access to see who is coming and ability to duck behind a bush if necessary.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Trails are slippery in weather conditions but adequate for people with walking difficulties
  • Warnings:School age parties on weekends, and lack of alternative escape routes for vehicles. One way in and bottleneck could result in detailed chats with local officers on why you happened to be in the park. Hit and miss but still fun

whos coming to Wilson Park

  • Interesting. I have lived near here for four years now and frequently walk my dogs in this park and never noticed anything unusual. I have seen groups loitering from time to time, but certainly never put it down to any of "us" lol.

Guess I'll start paying more attention from now on. *smiles.
