Is This Your Business?

Brown's main gym, open to community members. It has a men's lockerroom with a communal shower that fits 6, offset a little by a short hallway. There's a place to hang your towel outside the shower area. It also has 3 bays of lockers (bring your own lock), 2 stalls, 3 urinals, and a single sink.

Th gym includes, on the main level:
--the lockerroom
--a room of free weights
--a line of exercise bikes
On the lower level:
--a corner of ellipticals and weight machines
--several mats for stretching
--a track
--four basketball courts.

Neighbourhood: College Hill

At the intersection of Hope St and Llyod Ave. There's a parking lot and also street parking. It's part of an athletic complex, so there are several large buildings... currently, construction since the swim center was condemned (roof structurally unsound) and torn down.

  • Hours:Best times for action are when regular gym traffic is slow. I go weekend evenings (Th - Su) a few hours before closing. I've also gotten head on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, say 2-4pm. It can be hit or miss... but if you're lifting weights 3x a week, you're bound to get lucky in not too long.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Cruise while working out, play in the shower. Keep in mind that most of the guys who go here are straight profs and students and aren't out for anything, just there to work out and clean up. So be discreet. Show it hard in the shower, see if the other guy looks interested. One closet-case jock I've milked three or four times brings a towel with the edges cut off if he wants to get ; otherwise, I'm supposed to leave him alone. Might be a good signal to adopt.

Some suggestions about the shower. If it's free, I like the far corner on the towel-rack side. It's more discreet than the near corner, but interested guys can get a glimpse of your goods as they pass by the hallway. And when other guys are there, follow the straight-man spacing rule: don't start up a shower next to a guy if the one two away is open. Be discreet. Once you know he's interested, you can move over and start playing... but leave the original shower head going so you can return and act innocent if you get interrupted.

Along with being discreet, do work out first before hitting the showers, whether it's a an two-hour weight session to get the roid-shooting musclebody that turns on college twinks or just a quick fifteen minutes on the bike machines. It looks bad if a bunch of men card in and head straight for the showers, and if someone complains the staff might start checking on the lockerroom.
  • Nudity / Policy:No nudity on the gym floor: shoes, shorts, and shirts required. In the lockerroom, drop your briefs, throw your towel over your shoulder, and head for the showers.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Yes. There's a ramp to the entrance, and an elevator down the back hallway. However, it's somewhat inconvenient.
  • Warnings:They don't check on the showers. Be discreet so it stays that way.
