cruiser update 4/17/2009:There is no longer a janitor station outside this washroom. The reno's were a make-over of esthetically. There are still dividers between the urinals, but they are the low splash guard type rather than privacy ones. The reno had them changed to solid wooden and faux stainless steel finish rather than the old hollow green coloured partition walls. The entrance has been changed to a walk around doorway instead of an actual door so there is no immediate warning if someone comes in. Not saying there is no cruising going on there. I got cruised twice there this week at those urinals. The first one resulted in exhibition and voyeurism, and the 2nd was a lot more fun. But overall its an older crowd that lingers. Young'uns don't linger, they dash in, hang ten for a few mins, then leave.

previous comment: Three urinals with low splash guard type partitions between them.
Crowd: Older caucasian males, with a few young preppy types of mixed descent.

Who's Coming

Older caucasian males, with a few young preppy types of mixed descent.

Plenty of parking or easy access TTC
Cross street: Pape Avenue
  • Crowd:Older caucasian males, with a few young preppy types of mixed descent.
  • Hours:Standard Mall hours
Best times: M-F 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Don't rush into the washrooms too often, the cleaners station is located in the middle of the food court and tend to keep a watch on people going in and out too often.. personally I think they are just nosey. Besides washrooms back there, there is a whole bank of payphones. Best to bring them over to the New Home Depot. Washrooms are clearly marked from the front entrance. Right through the plumbing and fixtures department. It has double doors.
Cruisiest Spots: Payphones outside the washroom entrance, and the urinals.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:Yes / Handi-cap , and nor door on mall washroom.
  • Warnings:No door on the washroom entrance, its a walk around type opening. So there isnt' much warning. Other than the sounds of foot steps.
Warnings: Security in bright yellow jackets do enter the washrooms on their rounds.. around the mall. But their schedule can practically be timed.. its about once every 90 mins.

  • If it weren't for the busy food court traffic, this can certainly has potential, and its urinals are very cruise friendly. Yes there are partitions, but they serve as splash guards rather than privacy screens. Yes the renovations are long done now, but the mall still seems rather un-kept or missing stages of a finished product.

One of the added items to the renovations is a newly installed camera at the junction from the corridor to the hallway leading to the washrooms. From the angle the camera has been placed, I think its more of a way for security to check out the back door exit rather than the mens room.

  • With all the new renovations to the mall, it was my fear that they would replace the current splash guards will full height ones like the ones in the new washroom on the 2nd floor. But to my glee, they did replace the old short aqua coloured laminated wood product with the same height and size partitions, only they were stainless steel..
