Is This Your Business?

The Bears of the Old Pueblo is a social organization for gay and bisexual men who are ‘bearish’ and those who admire them. So what is a bear? It’s partly attitude, but some physical characteristics often associated with bears are facial hair, body hair, and generally larger, stocky, or more robust males. The best explanation is that bears have a ‘cuddly demeanor followed by a cuddly body.’ Those who like bears are warmly accepted by other bears. So if you like bears, you’re a bear too! Bears are often distinguished by a relaxed, accepting nature, and quick to hug in greetings and other gregarious encounters.

Monthly meetings and potlucks held on the second Friday of each month at 6:30pm at the Ward 6 Offices for the City of Tucson (3202 E. 1st Street). As with all events, visitors are always encouraged to attend. It’s a great way to meet and greet the other members! Monthly Beer Bust held on the third Saturday of each month from 4 to 7 pm this socializing and fundraising event at Woody’s Bar gives folks a chance to shoot pool, throw darts, and give back to the community. This is the home bar for the club and it’s located at 3710 N. Oracle. Call 520-292-6702 for information on other bar events.
