The gym is great. They also have day passes for non-members. They have a steam room.
Crowd: All types, but there are many pretty boys with way too much attitude.

Entrance next to hotel entrance. Free parking with stamp at desk.

  • Crowd:All types, but there are many pretty boys with way too much attitude.
  • Hours:Any time, but I think evening is the cruisiest. I like days, because there is little people around.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Wave your weenie at someone in the shower.
    Cruisiest Spots: Showers and sauna
  • Nudity / Policy:Sure, there are guys nude in the men's locker room, but it's a gym, not a bath house
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Handicap Access would be difficult - lots of stairs to access the main floor, and gym is on several levels.
  • Warnings:The main thing that bugs me is that 75% of their clientelle is gay and they refuse to acknowledge that even though they particpate in Pride Day. They even through out the local gay rag, Xtra West.
    Warnings: Update from cruiser 3/4/2009:I'd estimate gays
    > make up maybe 40 to 50 per cent of the membership at this well-run
    > fitness club. A lot of women (mostly hetero, I'd wager) use the place,
    > too. The staff are always friendly and courteous, and from what I've
    > seen, someone's ity is a complete non-issue - guys banter easily
    > about their lovers and weekend conquests in the locker room, and
    quietly elsewhere, too.I use the steam room after my workout at least thrree times a week,
    > and can assure you there's no warning sign about conduct.

  • just signed up for membership there today after my old gym (World Gym on Robson) suddenly closed without warning (anyone know anything about that?)

    anyways there's a big sign on the steam room that says "indecent behaviours will result in immediate termination of membership and prosecution" ... it also says to "wear a towel" so I did. but the two other guys I saw go in there didn't bother. so I have no idea how well-observed those guidelines are. will have to update you later.

  • I have not been to the steam room in a long time and wonder if it is busy enough to visit on a Saturday/Sunday morn or afternoon or if week day eves are always better?
