A simple parking area with seperate car and truck parking.
I was driving by and wondered if there was any action there. After stoping and walking around a little by the "land mark plaque" I was cruised by a trucker and his lady friend. According to them, they "hook up" often at this spot. At night it is very dark.
If you head out to "Buckman Springs" you pass this place. Swing by, you could get lucky as I did.
Crowd: All types on the road.

Head east on I8 and pass Viejas. The Exit after seeing Viejas is "East Willows Road" exit. One mile after that on the east bound side is the exit for "vista Point". Mile markers: CA39 or SD38.7. The exit number is 37.
Cross street: 1 mile east of the "east willows road" exit going East on 8.
  • Crowd:All types on the road.
  • Hours:24/7
    Best times: I was there at about 5:00 pm. But I would guess the night and the fact it is pitch black would be good. I am going to swing by there in the evening to check it out.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Follows typical rest stop/parking area protocols. There are no restrooms or facilities, so you will have to be creative.
    Cruisiest Spots: In the cars and trucks. Hook up outside.

  • Warnings:There can be families around, be discrete.

  • I was going east bound on I-8 about 2 am this morning and something in the back of my van started rattling so I pulled in here to re-arrange my tools/supplies. Out of nowhere a mob of BP agents appeared and wanted to know who/why. I quess I drove right into a sting/stakeout. That shows why we should be careful where we cruise in places that are not always traditional "cruising spots."

  • was sitting there and chp pulled up. wanted to know why i was there. my windshield was fogged up, told him i was waiting for windshield to clear up with defrost. he bought it and left. best to meet and take it elsewhere

  • I have had good luck on several occasio nes, but it has suddenly dried up. Could be because it is pitch black and most guys are afraid to get out of their car. I will be stopping here on Sun, Jun 11. Does anyone in Alpine or elsewhere want to meet? Hope someone comes along...
