KingJoker is correct..I went by there yesterday and the entrances now have guard rails with a small entrance that has a sign the says Emergency Vehichles only. Say goodbye to that location

Fuzzy is correct in that this location is entirely closed. The stop is fully barracaded on both the northbound and southbound sides, and it appears to be permanent. I'm not sure which location "bobxxx" visited, but it definitely was not this rest stop.

this place isnt closed for the winter. the building has been closed for a few years and there used to be port o johns but now they are permenantly gone too. the buildings are being used for emergency vehicles and the state police.
people still cruise here and i live nearby and i havent heard of any arrestes but the cruising is RARE...so rare that the cops don't bother any more.

It's not shut down or out. Just dormant for the winter season. I pulled in the other night and had a guy in my rig in less than 30 minutes. i park on the pull-thru area. Not where the rest of the big trucks are. You just need to be patient. The night vary tremendously
