update 9/12/2008: Punkatasset Hill was clear-cut a few years back, in order to keep guys from going there for . There is no longer any action there, hasn't been for several years.


Small groups of gay men like to nude sunbathe in this forest clearing. Weekdays are most popular as there are fewer straight hikers, and discovery is minimized.

From Monument Square in central Concord bear right onto Monument Street for 1.5 miles,just past Hutchins Farm, look for a small dirt road on the left between mail boxes '851' & '873'. Park on roadside & walk up dirt road, watch for sign saying "Punkatasset Hill", then take trail to right. Follow trail .25 mile past lake then take left fork around the lake. Watch for two forks, taking the second (to the right) a short distance to an open clearing.

  • Hours:Warm summer weekdays.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Keep clothing handy as there have been reports of increasing police patrols.

    This location was clear-cut several years back in order to discourage guys from cruising there. The location is now totally dead - there is no action there, ever.
