Plage de Zuydcoote (Bray-Dunes)
There is a 500-meter stretch of beach in Zuydcoote, a few kilometers east of Dunkerque and 5 kms. west of the Belgium border. This beach draws a predominently gay crowd and is particularly popular with gay men from nearby Belgium. The nude beach is often called Bray-Dunes, but the seaside resort of Bray-Dunes is actually a few kilometers east of Zuydcoote, and you'll have to walk a lot further west to reach the nude area if you access the beach at Bray-Dunes.

From Dunkerque take A16 freeway east 15 kms. to Exit 36, then take D947 north past Ghyvelde towards Bray-Dunes. After a few kms. go left (west) at intricate interchange with N1, for 1 km. then turn right onto D302, proceed to Zuydcoote on coast, park in lot near military hospital, walk west (left) along beach for 10 minutes to the nude zone.

- Nudity / Policy:Yes / This area is NOT clothing optional. I was captured 'sans trousers' by two famale mounted (on horses!!) C.R.S., (Police Nationale) and warned. Dont risk it. Go to Calais Beach, near Bleriot Plage, by the boat. Great!!
