At McEver Road & Mountain View Road.I-985 to Oakwood exit (4th) left to McEver, right 1/4 mile, 1st light left. All the way to the end. Takes you right into the park.
  • Crowd:Lots of college and blue collar guys.All kinds, but mainly blue collar types and locals.
  • Hours:Sun up to sun down, seven days a week. Primarily a boat launch. Fishing and some picnicers, too.
    Best times: Lunch time and after work during the week. All day on weekends.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Restroom on top of the hill, on the right before the lake and the first few parking spaces on the left, by the woods as you enter. Trails lead down to the lake.

  • Dear "Mr. Brennen" has always been highly suspect here. If not outright L.E. then at least agent provocateur. The elusive "brennen" has in the past sought encounters in a 150 mile radius... at the same time. I am reminded of the words of DAvid Allen Coe - Re: Jimmy Buffett taking about dope ...   • Interesting why and how ( more WHY) someone would use stolen profile ( perhaps in court it is easier to say it was not entrapment)to attract individuals who in their normal minds would have no desire to try to "play" in 90 plus weather?? Makes one wonder. But am sure like fishing, you put enough lines with bait out there there will be a hungry , stupid fish that will bite.???

  • be careful hall county patrols this park a lot, there is a lot of action there but almost everytime i get into something the law shows up so be careful.
