Things can be slow at times, but the after club crowd livens things up a bit. I have always managed to have a good time. It can be a little difficult finding your way around at first (particularly the staircase). Facilities: Very nice facility with 5 floors. You've gotta be aggressive sometimes, depending on the crowd. Cruisiest Spots: Steam room, third floor hallway, and locker room.
Safety
The private rooms are not all that private. The partitions do not go all the way to the ceiling. Kinda stinks outside because of the fish factory next door.

Various shapes, sizes, ethnic groups but no in shape studs. Expensive but you can get a coupon for a free visit at 1350 Club and Melrose Baths for free locker/half price room which made the visit worth a while. A nice recent upgrades but the crowd is seedy and not too attractive.

This place is best on Tuesdays 1/2 price rooms at $14.50, best at noon and after 5 PM. Best place to hook up with black and latin guys.

I've been going to Midtowne for over 10 years now, 99% of the time, I have a blast. i'm a big guy and have never had any trouble finding fun here. It really is a diverse crowd which makes it more fun. If you are a big guy or chubby chaser, the 1st Weds of the month ROCKS!

An "UP" on Midtowne. Anyone can enter with a Valid ID. and the cost of entrance. There seems to be "No Policing" of the actions by the men that frequent this establishment such as the Use Of drugs, the Handicap of Not Being Physically Healthy & Not Being Clean. Big Brother Needs an Enima!

Wa tgere this weekend on two occasions, visiting from Europe. This location is good. Had a very good time, was a bit disapointed by the rooms, as the partition in between rooms are really thin, and open at the floor level, so u can hear everything from the room next to you. i had two guys chat for about three hours .... Not nice..... Not one of the best club in the US, But i will be back next time i am in LA.... HAVE FUN...

You have to be prepared. Like most of the other gay baths, old guys and overweight guys don't get much attention. Like you said, unless it is a chub night. In all my times at Midtowne, the old guys are ignored or worse. The overweight guys are generally not even given a second glance. I've found the same thing at most of the other baths as well. The only exception would be like Roman Holiday where ALL the guys are old and/or overweight.

I've never been here (or any other bathouse) before. I've driven past it a few times but never went in. Can anyone tells me how it goes, answer stupid questions for me, like what to bring, where to start, etc...? Also, is it always a chub friendly place or just on that bears and bellies night? Any input appreciated.

Use Caution entering any Public Bussiness that caters to gay men. Unlike a country club where you are invited, any one can enter with counterband, rude intentions and Ideas that are not civil. Even though this establishment has been here for years, it dose not safeguard possible actions of others.

Most of the dumps in new york city are in a sader state of disrepair than midtowne..........if you felt cheap it must have been becouse you expected glitz.............. Came into town on the train . Chose this place becuse it's the closest. Called about getting a room on a Fri. night and they said it would be a 2 hour wait for a room. Ended up getting busy with friends and did not get there till Sunday afternoon. So now im nervous that the place would be dead. I took a cab from train station. $8.00 bucks. Got dropped at the liquor store on corner. Pounded a few , And smoked a joint. while walking the block to the spa. This is all commercial and industrial. Walked into this place for the first time buzzed up , on a Sunday affternoon. The only other bathouses iv'e been to is Steamworks in Berkeley. This place is four stories with a basement. Takes awile to figure out the layout. after showering i started in the basement . They have a dark maze that when stoned can be very fustraiting. I quikly found out that Sunday may be the best time to go. Maybe 60 guy's there. And plenty of action. I did not need a room. I was there for about three hours and had a great time. I wish they had a shuttle to the train station!! Can't wait to go back. PS. Im a G.L. 50 year old white guy. Choo Choo!!

Unless they removed it there is a covered parking garage and lot adjacent to the club i belive is 3:50. they have security on guard.

Looking to go to either 1350 or here tomorrow the 15th of august. Which one should have the better crowd. I am looking to have someone help me shave my hole to get it good and smooth.
