Park is just off the highway. Trails to the right are fairly level, with lots of places to wander off into the bushes for privacy. Trails to the left go down to the water and railroad tracks. There's no privacy down there, but a hot place by the water.
Update: There is also a nude beach, in Nelson, on Bealby Point Road, go to the very
end of the road and cross railway tracks. Park your car to the right, walk down the tracks for about ten minutes, on the left you will see a painted rock that says 'gone too far'; back track 5 feet and you will see a path, take the path down, go to the right of beach you step on, go to the end you will find little coves there. Mainly cruisy around 3 to 6. Lots of action in the bushes.

5 minutes out of Nelson, towards Castlegar.
  • Hours:I was there on a Monday, 8 pm.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Park, walk alone down trail to the right of the parking lot. See who follows...don't walk too fast.
    Cruisiest Spots: Parking lot.

  • Update 12/3/2008: cruiser says "I was there yesterday and just to let everyone know there is now a glory hole there. Some one has drilled about a 4 inch diameter hole in the door of the out house".
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:There has always been cars down there, but I never see people other than cruisers...
    Warnings: Some people come to walk their dogs. It is also the place that local mountain bikers go to after a ride where they meet their cargo vehicles for the trip home.

  • well it was a great run this year.hardly ever disapointed when i stopped..hope the weather stays nice so the new glory hole can get some use

  • Will be back in the Kootenays for the last few days of August. Hope to get to Grohman and hopefully run into some of the hot guys I've met there in the past -- especially the bicycle guy that visits from Calgary and stops in there. Take care, folks!!

  • Stopped by there today in the early PM. First, I walked to the right and through the open area beside Hwy. Looped back around and down the left hand path between the concrete barriers. Traffic noise is distracting, but there are small open camping pads on the left side path.

  • I just spent the past week in Nelson and visit the park a number of times. I got lucky most times I visited there. Nelson men are very friendly and hungry.
