Is This Your Business?

Cobblestone street/alley with benches near 2nd street. There's also an alley across 2nd street, if you want to hang back and see if anyone's around. Look for the one-leg-up-on-the-bench "signal". Sorry for the suggestion- but you gotta be VERY CAREFUL here. Alcohol-fueled testosterone runs high and it's a fine line between punch and play. I play it very subtle and score nicely.
Crowd: Straight, horned up dudes that got separated from the pack... after getting shot down by the ladies all night... metrosexuals casually looking to get quick n easy head. Foreign types (arab businessmen or students... french, spanish, or italians- from the nearby youth hostel- at earlier times because the doors close at 1am at the hostel). And, of course, the local "boys"... keeping it local.

Neighbourhood: Old City

El stop at 2nd street. North 1/2 of a block and you're there.
Cross street: 1/2 block north of Market Street, Between 2nd and 3rd. Look for the cobblestone street and benches

  • Hours:Definately not sunday AM, during church service hours.
Best times: 12am-4am... the later, the more obvious you'll appear... and less foot traffic.

Also, the third friday of the month, after gay night on chestnut street (at Posh?)
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:It's a friendly neighborhood. No harm in saying "what's up?" to a dude who you have eye contact with... especially if he walks by a few times (obviously checking you out). The body language of the guy sitting is a good indicator of his intentions (open legs or one leg up on the bench). And if you sit on one side of the bench, you're more likely to have someone sit down on the other side and chill. Keep it simple: "How's it going?... Eh, I got shot down and I'm horned up." The rest of your approach is up to you...
Cruisiest Spots: NOT the first or second bench off of 2nd street. That's usually occupied by drunk girls or couples having "discussions" (, why you diss me like that back there?!, etc.). Usually, if you're walking down past the 2 benches, looking back at who's sitting there, it's obvious.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:When the homeless dudes get there first (rarely). Packs of drunk dudes stumbling by can be intimidating... but one might take notice of you and return. The PARK RANGERS are usually walking around the area (their parking lot borders the park)... so take it somewhere else.
Warnings: Again, it's advised that you play it as SAFE and ambiguous as possible, to avoid misunderstandings. Queeny or overtly fem guys will stand out a lot. Be careful.
