cruiser update 9/26/2008: During this past winter a bunch of new signs were posted stating nudity not permitted. There are some pretty diligent residents that want to enforce the no nudity ruling. Apparently most of the signs have been torn down or defaced already by people that say they have been nude bathing there for 40 to 50 years. I have a feeling this summer is going to see some policing and some fines so have your speedo's ready to slip back on.

previous comment: A great nude bathing/swimming spot on Botany Bay (where the First Fleet landed). There are no waves as this is a bay beach. The water and beach is usually clean (except after a storm). Take refreshments and food as the nearest shop is quite a hike away. Take a good book, soak up the rays, enjoy a dip and get off in the bushes or on the rocks!
Crowd: A variety of people frequent this beach. Usually a lot of ethnic boys and local gay boys with cars.

Who's Coming

A variety of people frequent this beach. Usually a lot of ethnic boys and local gay boys with cars.

From Little Congwong to get the THE bushes and bush tracks (where all the cruising happens). Access around the rocks is easy at low tide. During high tide one can walk up the cliff to get around the rocks (if you are afraid of getting your feet wet). There are some well-walked track formations so one can't be stranded or lost. Just watch out for snakes (the poisonous variety).

  • Hours:During summer DEFINITELY. Late afternoon is good.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Wear comfortable outdoor shoes as the rocks and bushy scrub can be on the bare feet. Pack lightly as some rock climbing (not too hard) is needed.
Cruisiest Spots: On the rocky outcrop at the far end of Little Congwong Beach or in the bushes overlooking the beach.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / A great, fun spot for some outdoor action.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:No toilets or showers nearby. Sometimes lots of perverts lurk in the bushes overlooking the beach. It's quite a hike from the carpark to the actual beach. The nearest shop is quite a hike also.
Warnings: No danger so to speak. Just be careful as at any other cruising spot.
