Park along the road behind single guys in their cars. If they're cruising they will get out of their cars and walk down the main path. They'll glance back at you to see if you're interested. Then they will begin to enter one of the small paths (not well-worn) and glance a second time to see if you're game. Follow them into the path and take it from there :)
Crowd: Factory workers getting off work or on break, some office types and old men. 35+ age group mostly.

Who's Coming

Bayly east past 'Durham 23' (Ajax-Whitby border), first right.
  • Crowd:Factory workers getting off work or on break, some office types and old men. 35+ age group mostly.
  • Hours:Monday - Friday, 11 am - 5 pm.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:There are 2 main paths of Halls Rd S. Both paths are good for cruising. The path nearest to the lake is the most popular for cruising.
Cruisiest Spots: Off the main pathways :)
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Bird watchers think they own the place and interfere with their presence on my cruising. Most bird watchers are nice, but theire are a few militant '' types.
Warnings: Those damn militant '' type bird watchers. You'll know who they are, because they'll give you a look. Just play it cool and be polite. The police do come down Halls Rd S, but hardly ever. Play it cool and don't go hammering down the road like an idiot and they won't bother you. Your there to get some fresh air and go for a nice walk... right :-

  • Since mid summer(2008) no treaspassing signs have been posted, going off the main trails will get you a ticket/fined. the police have been there much more than before marked and unmarked cars. pain clothed have come up to guys who have gone into the woods. on the funny side the police run plate numbers of parked cars, a few bird watchers have been detained for having out standing parking and speeding tickets.
if you are not doing anything illegal still a nice place to walk, keep the place clean be respectful. meet and go somewhere else to play

  • I was there yesterday and nearly got busted by the cops. They were in plain clothes and in the trails. Apparently, someone called in a complaint. I was the only person there when I arrived with the exception of the photographer (older guy that looked like a skinny santa driving a maroon van). The cops took my ID and ran it then warned me not to go back. Very hot spot for cops guys!!!! I won't ever go back.

  • Just a work of warning-- I was down there this afternoon around 4:30 - 5:00 pm, Two plain clothes cops were trying to find guys having fun. They walked around together. Before they left they did the usual writing down license plates. All i am saying is just be aware of their possible presence.

  • I just rode my bike in the area this afternoon, around 4 - 4:30pm, but noone around. first time I've really been to the area, other than a quick drive past in my car.

Just as I was leaving the area, I decided to take a break and sit at a picnic bench. there was a guy at around 4:30pm who parked, and then walked along the trail and sat down at the benches where I was sat with my bike.We both sat quietly at the bench area for 10 minutes, before I upped and left.

There's some nice thick trees and bushes just behind the benches too. Not sure if he was cruising or not, as I'm a novice at this, and dont really know what Im doing.

If he was, and you're reading ...maybe another time ?

  • hey joejoe. if ur coming from ajax then take bayly towards whitby. just past lakeride there is a side road on the right side. it is first st past lakeridge. that is halls rd. take it to the end. u will see 2 pathway enterences that u can stop at. the 2nd one close to the lake is best. if u r coming from whitby then take victoria towards ajax. just past the lyndeshores conservation is the halls rd side st on the left side. it is only st past the lyndeshores parking lot. hope this helps. best times are usually after 4pm.
