Is This Your Business?

Seneca Park is the county park that contains the zoo. However, below the zoo is where the real park is. This lovely park has great trails, hidden-away spots in the woods for play, and a great t-room with good look-out views for plenty of warning.

Neighbourhood: City/Irondequoit

From the downtown Rochester, take St. Paul Street North. When you pass over East Ridge Road you are close to the entrance to the park. The park entrance will be on your left (west).

From 104 (east or west) just follow the signs for the Zoo

When you enter the park, drive past the parking for Seneca Park Zoo and, continue on the park road down the hill and into the woods. The road makes a great big loop around the Trout Lake. At far end of the pond a side road cuts off to the right. Take that road and park immediately on your right. The road will be blocked by a gate just beyond where you park. Park on the right next to the baseball field. The Seneca trail begins there, you will see signs marking the trail.

  • Hours:Park is open from 7am-11pm daily.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Park by the baseball field and take a walk fown the seneca trail. You will probably find another guy down there, or else someone waiting in his car will take your lead and follow you. If the parking lot by the trail is slow then head a little further down the road and check out the restroom. There is a second parking area in front of the restroom. Great trough-style for standing cruising. Plenty of warning (sight and sound) if someone is coming.
  • Nudity / Policy:Public park, so no nudity
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Roads, walks and restrooms are accessible. The seneca trail thru the woods not so much
  • Warnings:Very little police action. respect the family picnickers on summer weekends.
