Large busy Rest area with large parking lot. Easy access to & from I-8. Clean bathrooms ( serviced by CALTRANS )
Crowd: Guys/couples cruising in the truck parking area. They are usually in a Camper/RV.

Go east from San Diego aboput 40 miles. Well marked. Mot a destination but can be a welcome relief spot
Cross street: Buckman Springs Rd
  • Crowd:Guys/couples cruising in the truck parking area. They are usually in a Camper/RV.
  • Hours:Twenty-four hours a day & 7 days a week.
    Best times: Anytime... everytime I've connected it has been around 10 pm to 1 am..
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Look for a camper/RV sitting alone at the end ( east end-away from entrance ) of the parking lot with the door open. Either park nearby and strike up a conversation or wait until he/they walk to the restrooms and strike up a conversation. They'll usually take it from there.
    Cruisiest Spots: The truck/camper area.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Cold/winmdy in winter and hot/windy in summer.
    Warnings: Only time CHP goes in here is to use the bathrooms. The Border Patrol drives thru looking for 'load' cars sometimes. Either could care less about 'cruising.'

  • Concerning CumDealers comment.... this place is a rest stop...... NOT a destination. It's way too far 'out' to be considered a cruising spot.

  • This place isnt worth it, you drive all the way out there, its completly dead and on the way home you have to go through a border patrol check point.

  • i've been cruising this rest stop for several years and have never had run-in with cops. Would like to meet TheTopten, maybe Sun 11/12 after 9PM, or a date/time of your choosing? Anyone else interested, just stop in.

  • We were coming back from visiting the proverbial " rich maiden aunt in her 90's" in Arizona and we pulled in here to use the bathroom and stretch our legs and we saw a motorhome with a car parked beside it in the large vehicle area and the MH was rocking. So I quess it is true that this place is a 'connection.'

  • I've had two "scheduled" or "planned" meeting with people here. It is a great secluded place to meet up in a MH. I'd never cruise here due to the remoteness and possibility of cops.
