Usually free (sometimes they run out), lots o s and small to large booths. It's a really seedy throwback to the 70s; used rubbers, , spit, tissue all over, dark, sometimes smelly, a few drunks from time-to-time, often loud. Facilities: Movie house and garden on 1st floor. Video room, dark rooms, s, etc on 2nd floor

cruiser adds: great little walled garden area at back, which was the best of the places when I went there today. For those who don't know Chicago you could easilt miss this place. I did the first time and then went back. It's next to an adult book store and looked closed as no big signs outside. You can hunt or hang out; either way you'll get some.
Safety
Usually a pretty down to earth place; seldom any attitude or problems. Pickpockets on weekend evenings; just take enough money to get in. If you drive, park either on Wells or Clark(1 block east). They're busy and seldom any problems.

I always have a great time at the Bijou! I am from out of town and always visit every night I am in town. Love to cruise the bathrooms at the Bijou...but wish there were more guys into pissing on and in me. If you are into that, let me know. I will be in Chicago Sep 18 -20!

Dani, It was a bit slow, at least the guys seemd too shy or not interested, nobody in the theater made any getures or approached me when I sat in the theater. I was there for 1.5 hrs, went over to Berlins (had a few drinks) and a guy I had been texting said get back over there... it was hopping... there was 12-15 peeps, but very little open action (3 guys for 15 min or so) the place has potential but I would have done better to post on craigs I guess.

No Prob Cami, it might also depend on the guy in the ticket booth.The place can be very Hit or Miss depending on what day and time you get there.....it's a shame that there are a few trolls who won't (short of physical violence) take NO for an answer and leave you alone. I have had a lot of fun there over the years , so give it a try , you might have a great time....enjoy!

What a waste of time! Used to be a better place. Now, filled with guys who hang around and won't take "no" for an answer. Went there for the first time in a year last weekend and one guy kept trying to grab me. I literally had to push him away. When I finally found a guy who was interested and we started playing, this loser kept trying to play along. He'd bend down and come at you from below so you weren't sure who was grabbing you. Finally, the guy and I had to go into a booth and close the door to lose the dodo! BTW, had great fun with the guy. But one out of 20 is not good odds.

i agree with you Phantom, last time i was there there was a guy who would just stand in the hallway , blocking it , and he would try and grope guys thaty tried to get past him. I had to yell at him to move out of the way

Hey there Hotelbottom4unow, there is a red line stop near here. Just get off on Clark and Division and the walk a couple blocks south to wells and make a right then walk about a block and it will be on the right handside, just look fir the sign.

WausauBottom42 - the neighborhood is safe. It's in a section of the city called "Old Town" on Wells St. Parking is tough on Wells and there are few side streets with parking, so many dudes take a taxi or public transportation. When you exit, many taxis pass in front of the Bijou. If you are driving, don't park too far west of Wells. The elementary school just south and west of the Bijou has public parking for a fee. When you get there, be comfortable first, sit in the theater until you get used to the darkness. Then explore the upstairs. Walk around on the second floor and you will have a great time. Follow WiscNeo2's advice about the extra cash. You will have a great time!

Wausaubottom, it's a fun place. A great place to visit when in downtown Chicago. They caution everyone about pick pockets. So only take in the money you need, leave the rest locked up in your vehicle. They do rent small lockers. Evenings are usually the best time to go there. If you can go early and be prepared to stay for a while. The lower part is a gay movie theater, if you wlak to the back behind the screen, there is a spiral staircase which takes you upstairs. There are a lot of Gloryhole rooms upstairs, a BJ allley, and a play area complete with a couple slings. If you climb into the sling be prepared to get well serviced.

Wow, reading this post takes me back!! I visited this place back in 1990, when I was in town for the Restaurant Show. What a night!! Just wish that back then I knew how fun a sling could be!!. What I remember most was visiting again a few hours before my flight. I forgot to take out the big tube of KY from my coat, When I went thru the metal detector at the airport, I sure found it. I still remember the laughter of the guard!!!.

I plan on going to the Bijou , Monday the 9th, about 5:00PM and will stay until about 9:00PM. I also plan to go Wednesday the 11th during the day from about 10:00AM and will stay as late as 4:00PM. On the second Monday of the month they have the Movie pass that allows you to return on Tues and or Wed for free. So you could go up to three days in row for the price of one entrance.

Their website advertises strippers on the 3rd Friday of the month. I went the 16th of this month between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM and didn't see any strippers. Does anyone know if they stil do the strippers? Thanks for any info you can provide.
