Telegraph Station & Surrounds
This place is starting to get a bit more popular, which is good for Alice! Not always busy but always worth a look (summer late afternoons can be quite good...), the road from Stuart Hwy can be pretty cruisy, plus it's an excellent walk. Some good Territory men!

The guide
Where exactly
Thanks to a helpful cruiser 3/31/2009: The telegraph station is located on Herbert Heritage Drive off Stuart Hwy., 4km (2 1/2 miles) north of town (beyond the School of the Air turnoff). To get there, take a cab or Alice Wanderer bus or the 4km (2 1/2-mile) riverside pedestrian/bike track that starts near the corner of Wills Terrace and Undoolya Road. To drive there, head North (In the direction of Darwin) on Stuart Hwy and look out for Herbert Heritage Drive on the right hand side. Drive to the end oh Herbert Heritage Drive and you will see the car park and toilet block nearby.
Cruisiest spot: Toilet block across pedestrian bridge, parking area around trees on opposite side of hill.
When to go
Mornings and late afternoons, popular with walkers, etc. Lunchtimes for guys on a break.
Etiquette
In parking areas, stay in your car, door open as a signal. Have a stroll around and look!
