Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data CruisingGays.com ("we", "the site") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is intended only for adults aged 18 or over.

1. Who we are

CruisingGays.com is operated from Israel. For any privacy question or request, write to webmaster@cruisinggays.com.

2. What we collect

• Account data - if you sign up: username, email address, password (stored hashed), and anything you add to your profile, such as photos, age range or interests.
• Content you post - places you add, reviews, tips, comments, "who's coming" check-ins and messages to other members. Public content is visible to other visitors.
• Technical data - IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and time of visit, recorded in our server logs and kept for up to 7 days for security and to fix errors.

We do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not publish personal information about other people (names, photos, contact details) in places, reviews or comments.

3. Why we use it

• To run the site and your account, show the content you and others post, and let members contact each other (contract / your request).
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and spam, and fix errors (legitimate interest).
• To understand how the site is used, with Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies (consent).
• To show advertising that funds the site. Ads may be personalised only if you accept marketing cookies (consent).
• To meet legal obligations and answer lawful requests from authorities.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers that process data on our behalf:

• Microsoft Azure (hosting, server logs, application monitoring)
• Google Analytics (visit statistics, if you consent)
• Advertising partners such as ExoClick and Gay Ad Network (showing ads and measuring them; personalised only with your consent)
• Links to partner sites (for example hotels or tickets) may tell the partner that you came from us, so we can receive a commission. What happens on their site is covered by their own privacy policy.

Some of these providers are outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

• Account data and your posts: while your account exists. Delete your account and we remove your profile and private messages; public posts may be kept without your name.
• Server logs: up to 7 days. Analytics data: according to Google Analytics retention settings (up to 14 months).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or Israeli privacy law), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time (for cookies, through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page). Write to webmaster@cruisinggays.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Adults only

The site is not meant for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access to our systems. No system is perfectly secure; please use a unique password.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be announced on the site.
