Drive through Alpena via US-23, make a right at Johnson St. near college, across from Duck Sanctuary. Cross street: US-23 North is very close

Cruisiest spot: Beyond train tracks, dirt road begins.

When to go

Evenings, summer months are best.

Etiquette

Use caution as cops are present at times. Flash brake lights, etc to gain attention.

Safety

Just get an idea what the local cop cars look like. Kids get high back there too. Be aware!! Cops are familiar with this place for all the above. Police blotter with fines + names are is in the local paper each week, though I've yet to see a pandering or loitering charge. Sheriff's dept is 1/4 mi away.
