Where exactly

I-40 to Black Mountain Exit, West on Broadway which becomes Montreat Rd., then it becomes Assembly Dr. after passing through gate. Cross street: Shenandoah & Assembly

Cruisiest spot: Trails along Flat Creek, which runs parallel to Assembly Drive. Best place is between Shenandoah Terr. and Texas Road Spur.

Daytime or early evening

Etiquette

Secluded spots in the rhododendron thickets. Be sure to check out the area in daylight before trying at night. Park at gate area or pull-off areas.

I grew up in Montreat....there's no way there's cruising there, especially so blatantly out in the open.
