You have to be a bit careful 'cause the authorities dug a ditch and trench to stop gypsies and travellers driving there. But possible to negotiate unless you are a one-legged troll. Go in daytime to check it out first. Oh, it's also approachable from A3052, Lyme/Seaton/Sidmouth coast road.

Where exactly

East of Axminster, Devon. A35, from Bridport at Hunter Lodge Inn; after Lyme Regis/Crewkerne crossroads take 1st on left, signed Combpyne/Rousdon. Turn in 0.9 miles (updated) on the left, then right into two smaller car parks.

Cruisiest spot: On down the path and into the treees and undergrowth.
