this place is dead, I stop by here almost daily at various times between 5:30 and 6:30 and there is no action at all, very crowded around it too with families and old men playing chess in the park.

Dave, this is not the park that George Michael was busted in... that was Will Rogers Park across from the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset.

I believe this is the park where singer George Michael was busted. As such, I would be very hesitant to do anything there.
