I-57 exit 127th St west to Western Ave, turn left (south) about 4 blocks. On the right, one block south of Vermont St on the edge of town. Cross street: 1 block south of Vermont
Cruisiest spot: The downstairs bar is very intimate, with very low lights.

I went on a Saturday around 9 PM, unfortunately not too many people were there. About 2 or 3 guys playing pool and another 3 at the bar. Maybe it was too close to Christmas time or too early. The bartender said there was entertainment around 10 PM, but I didn't wait around. I'll go back, but when's the best time?

i believe the word is embraces. Sorry couldn't resist. That's a good bar. Sometimes you'll even find TGirls there. Very friendly place.

Hey Smooth7 ... yes, The Edge is still around in Blue Island. A great neighborhood bar that embrases all ages and all types. Very inclusive and friendly.

hi guys, I have been a regular here for 6 months, I have met some of the nicest people here, and think its the best south suburb gay bar. The downstairs bar isn't opened at the moment but will be sometime in the future. They have a new website, check it out, www.theedgeblueisland.com The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that keep you from coming in, lots of free parking in the back, oh ya I am single and looking : ) Tuesdays 1.00 dollar drafts and well drinks(mixed drinks,no call brands) Thursdays 1.00 drafts free pool plus lots more

Finally, a friendly unpretentious Southside gay bar where everyone is welcomed. Pleasant place, nice people, excellent staff, pool, darts, good drinks and good fun times. It's a gay "Cheers"
