Affectionately known to regular patrons as "Sporties" we are located in the heart of Brisbane, capital of Queensland - "The Land of Queens"! The only totally gay owned and operated hotel in Brisbane, we are now in our 19th year of serving Brisbane's gay community. We extend a warm welcome to all Brisbanites, as well as all visitors to Brisbane, whether you're from just out of town, interstate or overseas. You'll find us at 130 Leichhardt Street in Spring Hill - just minutes from the City centre!

Etiquette
Mineshaft has various theme nights EG: footy shorts and underwear night, bears nights etc. Choose your fave and enjoy. I personally like the underwear night. I went in a silk YSL g-string underneath square cut Morrisey see throughs. Cruisiest Spots: Definitely the Mineshaft!
Nudity: The Mineshaft is the closest to acceptable nudity. It has some dark back rooms where you can find guys with their gear off or at the very least with a hanging out. Policy: None published.
Safety
The Mineshaft can get suffocatingly smoky. Not sure if Queensland legislation has caught up to ban smoking in pubs and clubs yet. Warnings: None
