B&D moved seval years ago Next Door to the St. Louis.The bar is tucked at the end of a cul-de-sac in an odd part of the city. coming by taxi, and the driver doesn't know The Eagle - tell him "Next door the St. Louis" - it's a land mark. From the South - from 9th Avenue South turn on to 4th Street East, then left onto 8th Avenue South. From the North - take the Old Langavine Bridge (not the flyover) from Memorial Drive & Edmonton Trail. At the stop light across the bridge, turn Left onto 4th Street East. Head up three blocks and turn Right on 8th Avenue South. From the West - take 5th Avenue South (a one way headed East) to the East end of downtown. Stay in the right lane and take the exit at the start of the New Langavine bridge - Don't cross the bridge out of downtown. Turn Right onto 4th Street East. Head up three blocks and turn Right on 8th Avenue South.Cross street: Major - 9th Avenue South and 4th Street East, 4th Street East & 8th Avenue South.

  • Warnings:While the drug addicts in the area make it look dangerous, they never cause any trouble for Eagle customers. Hey this is Canada - not some gun toting, knife wielding large US city. But be smart and don't trash talk the crackheads. Don't make eye contact and they won't approach. If they head towards you, just wave them off. They know that if they hassle the gay guys, we call the cops. I've been there almost every Friday and Satruday night since they opened, and never had a single problem.

  • Fridy and Saturday nights are always the best nights to go but it can be hit and miss if you're looking for "in bar" action. The bar always closes at midnight every other night of the week.
