70commentscruiser Update: Well they no longer require a membership. They now have debit there, the decor is finished. Also you mention nothing of the 4 sling rooms they have The steam room is amazing! (Like a maze. Lots of little places to play.) Facilities: Steam Room Maze, small dry sauna, Washroom facilities, lounge area and snack bar, room with 3 dvd's at once as well as s, 2 booths, single and double rooms - some with tv's.

Where exactly
Between Buddy's Night Club and the building immediately West. Head down the alley between the buildings and the entrance is on your right. Cross street: Jasper Ave & 118 Street
Cruisiest spot: Steamroom or lounge
When to go
24/7 Best times: Very new. Just opened. Best times etc, not yet established. Will probably be busiest on Friday and Saturday nights,and on long weekends
Etiquette
Steamworks has 1/2 price times daily from 4-7checkin. they also if you go friday or saturday nite give you a free pass to return the sunday or following sunday for free after 4pm.. Thursdays if oyu go after the 7 cut offf for 1/2 price you get a free pass to the following thursday nite.
Nudity: Yes / As with all bathhouses. Guys walking around in only towels. Maybe some fully naked. public is encourageed Policy: As with most bathhouses, it is preferred if you take ual activity back to a room or a secluded spot.
Safety
cruiser update 9/8/2008: the place is now finished and has air conditioning and has debit cruiser adds: my pet peeve is not the AC in the summer it never gets hot in there, but now at this time of year it is f'n freezing in there. If you get a room try to get one in the middle as far away from the outside walls as possible---- They still have some things to finish (no air conditioning yet, but it's coming. No debit/credit card machine yet, so it's cash only for now. Decor not quite finished.) But this is due to them just opening. All these things should be in place in the next little while. The place is devided into two levels, starting on the third floor, so if you can't manage stairs, this isn't for you.

cruise has become nothing than bitching....it doesn't matter what venue you look up...no one should ever take any of the comments serious....I suspect that if businesses had a choice, they would withdraw for this site. Its too easy for anyone with an axe to grind,to slam anyone for any reason....therfore the postings at cruise should ever be taken very serious. P.S. I went to the underwear party and it was the most fun event I've been to in years. They ran out of rooms and lockers thtat night.

Okay, I can see your point Beatrice, but where do you come up with that I left you a BAD "review" when I said it was dead? Did I tell people NOT to go to your establishment? Did I plug the competition? Did I talk about other Bathhouses in other cities? No. You said "to think" before I post.. Well I've been doing some thinking.. Why would you be "insulted" about this in the first place? Do you own the place? Have a financial stake in it? Go back and read the posts - there is one thing that seems to be a constant - This place seems to have quite a few "dead" or "quiet" posts compared to the "busy" posts. Even as recently as the end of March people were still saying it was quiet. So what does that tell me? Things haven't changed all that much from when I went. With that aside, maybe one night if I can get back into the city I may visit your establishment and maybe I'll be proven wrong. We'll see. I did enjoy the layout of this establishment.. It just has so much potential, the place should be busier..but it seems its not. Honestly Beatrice look at it from my standpoint, would you keep going to this place time and time again if there was hardly anyone there? Finally.. if this underwear party was "so big" how come nobody other then yourself has mentioned it?

Go here lots of weekends. Usually busy but not always. Busiest after midnight on the weekends. Some evenings during the week are okay, depends what you are looking for. I have never had a bad time, just sometimes more fun then others.

Now I haven't been to this location in many years, but pretty much every time I've gone it has been DEAD. Twice I've been there where I've been the only person. I guess too each their own, but I don't ever recall this place ever being really busy.

I've been to both "Happy Hotels". Steamworks is definately the better one. There is much more room and variety - the steam rooms are great! I found that the clientelle where there for what they are supposed to be there for. Not like others where people are there to parade around and pray for Mr. Perfect to take them away from their pathetic lives. I got lucky with 14 people, even had to turn down 2 repeats as my legs where tired and I was drained. The rest is your standard bathouse - the too loud music and a few creepy old men. The only improvement would be a hot tub, but the stream room/maze makes up for it!

i STILL think that SW should set up a co ed night where guys can bring their girls or who ever for some fun, understand the NEED for a bath house but what about having one or two co ed nights a week, business wise it will be good. maybe then the steam room and shower area will get used more often as it is a very good one.hardly ever see anyone in it though

Be careful parking out back. My vehcile and 3 otrhers guys were broken into last week in the back parking lot. They threw a big rock thru my windows and dented the body bigtime. They took my gps. Morons don;t even realize thast its useless to them if they don't know the activation for it. Anyway, thought I would warn everyone to be careful.

This place is vewry new, very modern, MUCH better facilities than Down Under. Problem is, it seems very under-used . I was there twice in mid afternoon and was the ONLY user. It was very odd. Still, I highly recommend it.
