This business is brand new and has just open their doors on the 9th Feb 07. This is a very nice Health Club & Spa with membership costing $9. Day $15.3months or $35.one year. (Membership includes Exercise Eqpt,Sauna, lounge w/TV Hot tubs are being installed as I type this, Private Rooms with TV VCR DVD which cost $25. $12.50 on Wednesdays & Thursdays 8am-8pm Towels,pillows,sheets all furnished. Showers and restroom as well as handicap. Facilities: Pizza,Pop,Chips,TV lounge

When to go
yearly membership is $30.00 ( down from $69) 3 hr passes room $15.00 before 6 PM and $17.00 after 6 PM and all day Saturday locker $10.00 before 6 PM and $12.00 after 6 PM and all day Saturday 6 hr pass room $17 before 6PM and $25 after 6 PM locker $12 before 6 PM and $18 after 6 PM over night regular room only, $30.00 lockers donot rent for over night, most rent room delux room with full size bed, TV/DVD combo and more spacious is $30.00 for 6 hrs $40.00 over night hours for the spring, summer, and most of fall Monday closed tuesday, wednesday, and thursday 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday 10:00AM and going 24 hrs to Sunday at 9:00 PM Best times: Any time you wish to relax and have a good time. Look to see how many vehicles are in the parking lot. However a lot of truckers park at Hardee's & McDonalds and walk over to the Health Club & Spa.

your profile says you're 32 and your post says 28. You might want to adjust one of them. Age don't matter but it just looks weird. What did you mean by needing to mention craigslist to get in ? Thats a new one on me. Like all places daytime is slower then night time. Still always found more then one person there. If you live far away ( i'm 4 to 5 hrs away myself ) you might want to plan your trip. This 4th of July sounds like a date worth going to for you. I love the cookouts. No one likes higher prices but it does keep out the undesirables.

Justaguy i think i actually met you the first time i ever went to HITW. it was a real pleasure meeting you. I'll have to see what my schedule is. It does look like fri is going to be fun at HITW Weekdays are hard to make.

goodxs 5/20/09 MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND hey guys ! we will be open from Friday usual time 10 AM untill Monday when the crowd runns down some time around 5 PM cook out Saturday from 5 PM to 6:30 PM hot dogs, chips free with your memberships, we have our lisence to sell beer now, price special on Sunday's and wednesdays. so come on and join the food and fun this weekend, ring a friend, and make it a bigger party. hope to see you here. have a safe holiday guys

NOTE TO LONNY i hope you don't associate my comment on the booze with Scott's comment. The man clearly has issues that i don't have. I stated my view calmly without caps. And i think the booze can be ok if there's a buying limit. As well as making sure no one sneaks in a beer in the steam room or whirlpool. I certainly don't have a problem with those who drink water in those rooms. Friends don't let friends drive drunk. Should be the same in HITW. Everyone there is really nice. I'm sure they'll look after each other around the water. Myself i don't feel a beer would mix well for me around water. Each to their own. I hope everyone has a great time. Getting ready to leave now, have to make a few stops along the way. Hope to get to HITW between 5 and 6. Plan to at least spend the night, maybe stay part or all of Saturday, depending on what is going on there. If I have to drive this far, I am going to make it worth my while! Hope to see some of you there!

Finally, after more than a year, I have a Friday and Saturday off. I plan to visit again this Friday evening and see how things are. I am looking forward to all of the changes that I have read about since I have been able to get there the last time. The beer is not an issue for me, since I don't drink. It is a TWO hour drive for me, and the few times I was able to make it over there, I was never disappointed. As for the comment about the U-Haul business, look at it this way. It is probably what is keeping the spa open, since it is not that well known. And disparaging comments do not help. Hopefully I will find others there for a little fun and relaxation. I am looking forward to the visit.

hey scott 1 ) so the owner has more then one business. Why is that an issue ? 2 ) did you even see a minor there ? let alone drinking ? 3 ) the booze is a new thing so they are still working on it OK its a holiday weekend. That is a hit & miss situation anywhere you go. They don't draw a huge crowd in here,. That is why they are trying new ideas like booze. I am not in favor of the booze. Hot tub, steam room, and booze doesn't sound like a mixer to me. Still maybe it will bew a great idea lets see what happens . This is a great place. I would rather find one or two friendly nice guys to hang with then a crowded bad attitude place. To each their own. Maybe give it another chance ? At least tell the management what you would like to see rather then just complaining. Good luck. Jac

The rates on here need to be updated-- we went late friday - noone was there - asked if we could just look around. $90! $30 membership and $15/3hr block (mininium) -- WOW! Now before I drive another hour - tell me guys - is this really worth it?

Adam, if you had mentioned that you heard about the place from cruise you would have been admitted right away. They want to be careful not to allow someone in that would cause trouble for them or their customers.

Adam i would suggest you give them a call and ask for Lonny. I can't believe his staff would treat you or anyone that way. Its just not their style. In fact they actually give newbies a tour of the place. This is one of the friendliest places in illinois. In the good weather they even have cookouts. Lonny is a real stand up guy. Give him a call and tell him about your visit.

I stopped by mid week and found the clerk to be very rude. I've never been told I look like a cop before, but he was giving me a hard time---telling me that if I wanted to get in, I"d need a warrant... A little off putting, to say the least

Dave that's always a catch-22 with these places. No one wants to be the only one there but someone has to go and be first one there. I found smaller crowds to be better and more willing to play. My problem is i live far away and with scheduling weekdays are impossible. Otherwise i would be there on Thursday. Keep trying maybe you'll bring in people when they see your car there.
