Buena gente! It's that time of year again, the chile is ripe, the roasters are roasting and the the smell of fresh green chile is in the aire!!!! That means it's time for Burque's original Chile Harvest Fiesta and world famous green chile stew cook-off! Join us Saturday September 24, at Washington middle school park, the cook-off starts at high noon! Everyone can be a judge for just $5! This year we celebrate the women in our community who are the keepers of the seeds. We will also be honoring a special group of community leaders with the Jeanne Gauna Social Justice Spirit Awards. And we will be joined this year by New Mexico Hispano Music Award winners, Johnny 'Ritmo' Rodriguez y Los Diamantes!
