Counter Balance's cofounder and Executive Director, Fatima Mann, has been graciously selected as the Grand Marshal of Austin Pride 2017. As a woman who loves women and identifies as a person of the global majority she would like to invite as many people of the global majority to join her at this year's Pride parade. We would like to create space for people who identify as LGBTQ and are of the global majority. Change happens when we come together as community to show we want more color at pride. Please wear all white, invite, and share this event. The Parade kicks off at 8pm from the Capitol, proceeds down Congress and then marches through the Warehouse District on 4th Street/Bettie Naylor to Republic Square Park. We look forward to sharing space with you. This will be the first of the #MoreColorMorePride events this weekend.
