World Naked Bike Ride 2017 - Cape Town

About

The 8th World Naked Bike Ride - Cape Town Saturday 11th March 2017 Start and Finish at Sea Point Library car park. Meet at 09:30am, to start riding at 10:00. Clothing is optional: The dress code for the World Naked Bike Ride is "Bare As You Dare"! YOU get to decide how naked you wish to be. If that means completely naked, or completely clothed, the decision is yours... Keep an eye on this event page and our community page World Naked Bike Ride - Cape Town for updates... This ride is not about nudity - it's about joining in a world wide campaign/protest for the environment: we ride for CLEANER ENERGY, less reliance on fossil fuels, CUTTING CARBON EMISSIONS, MAKE CYCLING IN CAPE TOWN SAFER and to encourage MORE PEOPLE TO CYCLE! Remember no gawkers at the ride please. Come and participate: cycle, skate, unicycle, rollerblade, rollerskate, run, jog, walk, push a wheelchair, push a pram... Doesn't matter how dressed or undressed you are... just take part! From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Naked_Bike_Ride The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an international clothing-optional bike ride in which participants plan, meet and ride together en masse on human-powered transport (the vast majority on bicycles, but some on skateboards and inline skates), to "deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer, body-positive world." The dress code motto is "bare as you dare".Full or partial nudity is encouraged, but not mandatory. There is no mandate to cover intimate parts; this is a distinguishing feature of the WNBR against other cycling events. Creative expression is also encouraged to generate a fun and immersive atmosphere during the ride, capture the attention and imagination of the public and media, and make the experience more personalized and fulfilling for the riders.
