Le FFAST est heureux et honoré de recevoir la réalisatrice Alankrita Shrivastava, qui viendra présenter son film Lipstick Under My Burkha (en version non censurée) en soirée d'ouverture du festival, le 3 octobre au soir à l' Etoile Lilas. Porté par un très beau casting d’actrices, ce film met en scène quatre femmes, de génération et de milieux variés dans la ville de Bhopal, qui cherchent à s’affranchir des normes qui leur sont imposées : sortir, utiliser des moyens de contraception, avoir des rapports sexuels hors-mariage, autant de sujets tabous dans une Inde encore conservatrice, qui a valu des mois d’interdiction dans son pays d’origine à ce film multiprimé. This movie depicts 4 women from various generation and social background in the city of Bhopal, who struggle to free themselves from the rules society forces them to follow. Going out, using contraception methods, having sexual intercourses out of wedlock...so many subjects still taboo in India, that lead to the ban of the movie in india for few months.
