An open mic poetry series on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Equal=Grounds Coffee, 750 South Ave., Rochester. Read your poems. Bring a friend or four! Drink coffee and be surrounded by amazing people. Poets, add your name to the sign-up sheet when you arrive. The lineup is first come, first on stage. The evening's emcee will introduce you when it's your turn. Each poet has five minutes (or three poems, whichever comes first.) Depending on the number of poets participating, there'll be an intermission half way through the evening to give everyone a chance to stretch their legs and grab some fresh coffee.
