Where exactly

3 miles/4.8 km west of Gloucester on the A40 Gloucester to Ross-on-Wye road. On the Ross road on the righthand side after esso garage.

Park in car park on the left hand side the is a path goes to a bird hide.

Visitor

The garage is now Murco (2010). The birdhide has been replaced and that (left) side of the reserve is usually unproductive. Park and go through the gap in the hedge half way up the right side of the car park. After 20 yards a sign directs you left to the nature trail. Go right here and follow the paths into the wood towards a pond. Lots of action in this area, afternoons and evenings usually best.
