Cops have been conducting stings several times a month for over 10 years is what I have been told by a friend who works for the Sherrif's Dept. Apparently they get 10 plus people every time. It is a bad place to cruise as I have driven by and noticed stings happening several times. DO NOT CRUISE HERE!

Stopped by there today at lunch. 2 really cute guys there in seperate cars. I went for a walk to the stream and stood there looking at the leaves, fish, etc. One of them followed me to the stream. I made small talk but he was SO OBVIOUS a cop I had to chuckle inside. Stopped back after work and they were both still there. A blue Ford pick-up and a green car with dark tinted windows. Not sure what happened as I went for an inocent walk again and when I came back they were leaving, a few minutes later a KC Sheriff care went by and then the green car came back in and got into a vehicle that was parked ther (a known cruiser) got some things out, locked the doors and left. BUSTED... So be careful. They are OBVIOUS cops in blue jeans but be CAREFUL

i was thinking about stopping there Saturday but when I drove by there were 2 sherrif cars there,looked like a good place to avaoid then.

It was not closed yesterday when I drove by. They have been putting a new electrical sub-station right next to the park so it had been closed from time to time as they re-built the road.

I have had good experiences here. I usually go on my bike a get away from the lane from the parking lot. Several very secluded spots. Also, there are two other ways into the park.
