Where exactly

From Main Street, take Taconic/Alford, turn right on Castle Hill Avenue, then left at the stopsign (Lake Mansfield Road). Follow the road around, and the parking lot will be on your right. Cross street: Lake Mansfield Road

When to go

After 10 PM.

Etiquette

Park your car facing the lake, as far back against the treeline as possible. A light on in the car and eye contact are key. Once you've made 'contact', a trail from the parking lot leads into the backwoods. Get a good ways away from the lake and step off the trail.

Safety

This place has been very slow for the past few years, and occasionally you have some highschool kids drinking on the beach in the middle of the night. The GB police occasionally patrol by the lake, but won't stop for cars parked in the lot. Just keep your eyes open.
