From Highway 101 (Hollywood freeway)take Mulholland Drive west 1/2 mile. Park and take stone steps up to the highest observation deck.

(You have to be logged in) Add Commentthis place is a fantastic location -- private, scenic, convenient. Is the small parking lot locked after dark? Do you simply park on the street and jump the gate? I plan to swing by this evening/tonight.

The "observation deck" isn't actually at the Hollywood Bowl. It's a scenic overlook off Mulholland. Tourists stop there (including commercial tours) to see the Hollywood sign and the Bowl is at the bottom of the canyon below it. I can't imagine much happens there besides enjoying a nice view of the city. Parking is also very limited.
