Ile du Levant

Since 1931 the twenty percent of the island which is outside the military preserve has been devoted to naturism. Nudity is permitted everywhere except in the village and the port. Nudity is compulsory on some beaches and signs mark it so. This is not a specific gay destination as it all appeals to all nudists who enjoy a completely naked atmosphere, however it attracts many gay men.

Where exactly

Ile du Levant is the easternmost island of a chain called Iles d'Hyeres. It is located 10 kms. south of the coastal towns of Hyeres and La Lavandou and can be reached by ferry from both towns. There are no cars on the island.
