2commentsThere are some secluded places--corners, between stacks, rooms, in the library itself, but the mens room is the quiet, low-traffic place to meet. Large , low door. Saw two pair of feet in the a month or so ago.

Where exactly
Just north of 7th st on Main. Joplin St, just behind the building, is a one-way street heading south. Cross street: 3rd/Main
Cruisiest spot: Men's restroom, at front of building.
When to go
Mon, Thurs 9am-9pm Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat 9am-6pm Sun 1pm-5pm Best times: From late morning to a few hours before close (11 am-5 pm seems best).
Etiquette
Enter from west side of building (parking lot side). You can enter the restroom without entering the main library and often without being noticed at all by staff.
Safety
Staff is almost exclusively female, so little staff interruption is likely. There are families around so be discreet.

The have BEEFED UP security -- cameras all over the place!!! NOT A GOOD PLACE anymore. They will call police. There are several men on staff now in multiple departments. Try somewhere else.

If you get caught here, they will call the cops and have you arrested. I used to work there sometimes and I have seen it happen. And, YES, the staff does notice people coming in the back way to avoid the main area-just because they're mostly women doesn't mean that there isn't a guy around that they can send in to check things. BE CAREFUL. The main reason why they have a problem with us hooking up there is because of all the families. If you meet somebody hot, go somewhere else and avoid trouble.
