6commentscruiser Update: 12/07 The last time the Pineville Rest area was raided was in November 2006. Since then it has quited down. Just as long as you are aware of the surroundings there you should be fine. Do a quick walk around in the area and check along side the lake on the side you are cruising. Even though it is not as popular as it once was, it still sees some action.--The parking area adjoins woods with trails.

Hey guys, A cruiser sent me the following information: "The Pineville Rest Area is now closed. A huge project is now underway to turn both forts into a public tourist attraction with picnic table and sites to look at. Chances are they may have security, so no more cruising any more. people now go across the river into Alexandria to Capri Video or Adult Emporium to have encounters" Keep cruisein', Ed, cruise Editor

It's been quite some time since they busted anyone there. As long as you do a check of the area you should be fine. The cops have left this place alone for over a year now. I have been through there several times and had some hot encounters, but I always check the surrounding area out first. Most guys do not cruise there anymore, but instead go to Capri Video across the river.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS AREA.... THE PINEVILLE POLICE HAVE A SWAT TEAM WORKING THE BUSHES BETTER THAN A 20 DOLLAR HOOKER...THEY ARE ARRESTING PEOPLE.... THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE...I WOULD NOT ADVISE CRUISING HERE ANYMORE... THEY ARE RUNNING A STING OPERATION AND HAVE ALLREADY ARRESTED SEVERAL PEOPLE HERE

Your are soooo right! You are not alone! The old men like to chase fresh meat, not puree carrots like they are suppose to. But since it is summer here and the weather is unbearably hot, it has kept them confined to their handicapped wheelchair vans. The hot summer here has been a blessing in disguise.
