Sadly, the park proper has been closed and fenced off due to soil contamination. However, the Dog Park in back remains open, and beyond it lies an isolated, secluded, wilderness area. Very few people come here which is GOOD for us. It is becoming a hot spot for nude sunbathing and M2M . So far, the neighbors and police are unaware. The draw is mostly white and Hispanic, assorted ages.

Best time: The Dog Park is open daily from 7am to Sunset.
Watch out: This should remain hot through the summer, et cetera, as long as everyone keeps…

The guide

Where exactly

From downtown take Taylor east and turn right on Monferino Drive, (If you cross US-101, you've gone too far.) to Jackson and turn left and proceed to the left to the Dog Park. Park in the lot and walk back through the former community gardens, and then veer to the right and go through the fence line back to the trees along the creek and US-101. Be sure to bring a blanket and water, and a Goodie Bag. Standard Backpacking ethic applies: Pack it in, Pack it out.

When to go

The Dog Park is open daily from 7am to Sunset.

Etiquette

As with any cruising spot, there is no guarantee of who is going to be there, and when - unless, you arrange a meet with a 'Friend.' You definitely want to stay back in the trees, out of site from the Dog People.

Nudity: Back up beyond the trees, there are trails that go off, and lots of open grassland. This is a city park and the city's NO NUDITY Policy is enforceable. However, there's no one around to report you to the police, and response time should be slow.
