HWY 701 between Newton Grove and Smithfield (Just outside of Newton Grove). Turn onto Harper House Rd. Follow historic Site signs (about 4 miles on the left). Cross street: 701

When to go

Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Best times: Afternoons on saturday and sunday.

Etiquette

There is a museum and gift shop but the cruising goes on outdoors in the trenches (located on and off paths in the woods).

Safety

No one patrols area during business hours, but after hours the County Deputy Sheriffs patrol area.
