Busy rest area on I-84, no facilities and a lot of cruising action, especially in the back lot around dusk. Popular for truck parking and guys returning from the Cape (Cod). I have had some great contacts there...

Back parking area closed at 9 pm, and area is close to Mass.

Where exactly

I-84 S/B South of Exit 2 and before Exit 1 and the CT state line. Cross street: 1 Mile North of CT State Line

Cruisiest spot: The back, or to the right, parking area. Park and walk either towards back woods or wooden median between back and forward lot.

When to go

Dusk to nightfall.

Etiquette

Best times are weekends, and any night before 9 pm, when back lot is posted as closed.

Safety

Back parking area closed at 9 pm, and area is close to Mass. State Police Sturbridge barracks. Close to MA State Police Sturbridge barracks. Frequent patrols, staties usually stay in cars. Busy area traffic-wise. No problems yet, though be careful!
