20commentsThere is no swimming at gay area. There is good swimming at main beach which is very mixed gay and straight. Everyone gets along very well there. There is a gay section on the main beach also located along rock wall breakwater to left if facing water. The main beach has everything you could possibly want to buy from famous BC Bud to chocolate-covered mushrooms to sushi. Gay section on main beach is close to rock breakwater at left end of beach. Trails to cruising area start at main beach. Go left at bottom of stairs and hike for about 1/4 mile. You will start to see guys displaying their wares.

The guide
Where exactly
You can enetr from Pacific spirit park off Marine Drive (just south of 16th) This is easiest way and has parking. At bottom of trail, go left or right, and you will no doubt find action. Parking area up top even has action.
Cruisiest spot: Trails heading away from main beach. Can go up to a mile.
When to go
Warm days in spring, summer and fall. Action even happens on not so nice days and early evenings.

Don't wear cologne. Wave your weiner if you are interested.
Nudity: Yes / You look weird with clothes on.

Anyone know where the crusing areas at the bootom of Trail 7 if I turn left instead of my usual right hand turn to the sandy beach. Westend guy leaving westend at about 1030 if interested.

The sign at the bottom of trail 6 seems to indicate that the trail from trail 6 through the oasis to trail 7 is closed. Any info on that? thanks guys

Am headed down to Wreck Beach 3June will be there at 10am ish! Dunno if I will turn left or right at Trail 7. 6.5uc guy looking for some action. Care to tempt me!!!

uwo8uc, the all-gay area is past the rock breakwater. There's a trail at the treeline. Follow the trail for 5 - 10 minutes. The gay beach is quite spread out, and thinner than the main section at the base of trail six. You'll pass groups of guys on blankets, and probably see some action in the bushes along the trail. Alternatively, you can find the old trail on "Old Marine Drive" on Google maps. Its below SW Marine & 16th Ave. You can park there, walk down the old trail, and turn right to head towards the main beach/trail 6.

The gay area of the main beach I believe is to the left by the breakwater. Alternatively at the top you can walk a bit go down trail 7 to the gay area with smaller beaches tot he left or the main gay beach to the right, you gotta walk a fair bit though along the path.

I checked out the beach at the bottom of Trail 6 this morning - seems great, and I'm definitely going back when it's warmer (and busier) this afternoon. Just wondering if someone could explain where exactly the gay sections are. At the bottom of the stairs, facing the water, there's a rock wall to the left. But that seems really close to the "main" action. Is there somewhere else I should check out? The signs said the trails to Gate/Trail 7 are closed. Any tips would be appreciated. Cheers boys.

okay, was there today on my jog...saw a guy on a bike and a suit and tie guy from a beamer go into the trails - so that was planned. is there anything that just happens without any pre-planning? which trails? the ones near Marine drive (by the campus) where i was, had nothing going on except for those two above. what should i be looking for...yes, i'm new to this...but kinda turned on by this but not sure what the signs are if someone is into me. i'm being serious so any advice will help...and the trails that you recommend. oh, and is it rude to watch if i do happen to see others? so many questions...i know. finally - anyone wanna meet up?? ; )

I've seen them on the main beach, mainly just to have a presence I would suspect. Nothing to worry about going there unless you plan on doing or bringing something illegal.
