The guide
Where exactly
Coming from the South: Hwy. 41 to Willow Street. Right on 6th Street. Left on Vigo. Park anywhere allowed before crossing bridge to Illinois.... From North: 41 to 6th Street. Right on Vigo to 2nd Street. Your there! Cross street: Cross Street is Second Street
Cruisiest spot: A lot of guys walk or hang out under the bridge, while others tend to walk around the upper levels of the memorial itself where you can get the best view of what is going on. Along the levy is another popular area.
When to go
EVENINGS from 7-?. Best times: Ok, this is a US Park and the Park has set hours for the visitors center and memorial during the day. However the daytime really is not the time to see any action. Usually after 7PM is a good time to start looking but I have seen a lot of action there on weekends as late as one or two in the morning (after the local bars start to close). Dates open: Warmer months are the best but I have gotten real lucky there in the winter
Etiquette
Need it be said just like any public cruising area, you must always be on the alert for that one time when some undercover cop decides to pay the players a visit.
